Dear PK Hope is Alive,
We are pleased to announce the total amount raised by our 23rd Parkinson’s Unity Walk, held last April 22 in New York City’s Central Park.
Together, we raised over $1.5 million for research!
Thank you for being one of our donors. Thanks to the enthusiasm, energy, and unwavering commitment of supporters like you, donations received this year exceeded last year.
Every penny of this total will support critical research funded by six Parkinson’s disease foundations. Donations made to the Unity Walk will be distributed to these organizations to fund research that will help move us closer to a cure.
- American Parkinson Disease Association
- National Parkinson Foundation (A division of the Parkinson’s Foundation)
- Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (A division of the Parkinson’s Foundation)
- The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research
- The Parkinson Alliance
- The Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center
Please stay tuned to our website for details about grants this year’s Unity Walk will fund. We are currently working with the organizations to provide you with summaries of all research grants, as well as updates to studies funded last year.
Thank you again for supporting this year’s event, and the Unity Walk will keep working until we get to a cure. We are already planning the 2018 Unity Walk and please stay tuned for information about next year’s date. We will announce next year’s date around early December.
Thank you for your support as we work together toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
